For newsrooms

Ranger

Every comment on your social accounts, in one queue, worst first - with a record of who decided what.

THE PROBLEM

The comments that matter arrive fastest

A newsroom's replies are spread across five apps, each with its own notifications and its own idea of what is urgent. On an ordinary day that is an annoyance. During a pile-on it is the reason a threat sits unread for six hours while somebody scrolls past four hundred comments looking for it.

WHAT IT DOES

Built for the shift, not the campaign

One queue, six channels

Every comment left on your accounts arrives in the same list, in the order that matters rather than the order it was written.

The worst first

Each comment is read on arrival and given a place in the line. Threats and pile-ons surface ahead of ordinary criticism, with the reason attached.

Hide and restore, everywhere

One button, whichever platform it came from. Hiding is reversible on every channel Ranger supports, and it says so before it does anything that is not.

Somebody is always on call

Three tiers, an escalation clock, and a push notification that reaches a phone. A comment nobody answered at 2am is the one you read about the next day.

An evidence ledger

Every decision recorded with who made it and what role they held at the time. Append-only, exportable, and built to be read by somebody who was not there.

Roles for moderation

Hiding and permanently removing are separate permissions, and the person who exports the evidence does not need either.

HOW IT WORKS

Connected in an afternoon

01

Connect your accounts

Sign in with your own social logins. Ranger asks for permission to read comments and hide them, and for nothing else.

02

Comments arrive, sorted

Within a minute of being written, in one queue, with the post they were left under.

03

Decide, and it is on the record

Hide, restore, dismiss or hand it to a colleague. Whatever you choose, the ledger says who chose it.

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO

A moderation tool, and only that

It cannot post

Ranger asks for no publishing permission on any platform. Giving a moderation tool the right to write on your accounts is a risk nobody asked you to take.

It cannot read messages

No direct messages, no inbox, no follower lists. Comments are public; the rest is not, and Ranger does not ask for it.

It does not act alone

Hiding a comment is a person's decision. The automated reading only changes what that person sees first.

Your data stays in Europe

Comments, accounts and the ledger are stored in Frankfurt. Disconnect an account and the credential is gone; ask us to delete the rest and we do.

See it with your own accounts

Half an hour, your channels connected, your own comments in the queue. If it is not obviously useful by the end of it, we will say so first.
