By installing, accessing, or using any application ("App") developed and published by Bytera ("we", "us", "our") on the Atlassian Marketplace, you ("you", "your", "End User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use our Apps.
These Terms constitute a separate agreement between you and Bytera. Bytera is the licensor of our Apps - not Atlassian. Atlassian is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for our Apps or their content.
Subject to these Terms and your compliance with the applicable Atlassian Marketplace terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our Apps for your internal business purposes.

Spotlight is a Jira app that turns plain-language descriptions into live charts, tables, and reports. Drafting is performed by Atlassian-hosted AI models (the Forge LLMs platform); a manual builder and templates are also provided. All processing happens entirely within the Atlassian platform - no data is sent to any external servers, and Spotlight requests no write permissions on your Jira data.
Saved spotlights store a definition (query and settings plus your description) - never a copy of your Jira data. Every render fetches live data with the viewing user's own Jira permissions.
We strive to maintain the availability and accuracy of our Apps, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
AI drafts are suggestions generated from your description. You are responsible for reviewing a draft before saving it and for the accuracy of any spotlight you save or share. AI drafting is subject to fair-use limits described in the app and its documentation; the manual builder is not limited.

Spotlight processes data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Spotlight, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have obtained all necessary rights, permissions, and consents from your end users for the processing of their data through Spotlight.
All intellectual property rights in our Apps, including but not limited to software, algorithms, design, trademarks, and documentation, remain the exclusive property of Bytera. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you. You retain all rights to the descriptions you write and the spotlight definitions you create.
Our Apps may be offered as free or paid products. Pricing and payment terms are managed through the Atlassian Marketplace. Any fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as otherwise stated in the Atlassian Marketplace terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bytera from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of our Apps, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to our Apps if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use our Apps ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability and Indemnification) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our Apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable local laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
