Settings
All Pulse configuration lives in the Settings tab on the Global Dashboard. It’s the rightmost tab and is visible only to Confluence admins.
Opening Settings
Section titled “Opening Settings”- Open Apps → Pulse Dashboard in Confluence.
- Click the Settings tab.
Non-admins won’t see the tab; they can still view scores on the rest of the dashboard.
What you can configure
Section titled “What you can configure”Today, the Settings tab is dedicated to Custom Policies — the rules that feed the Content Health Score and AI-Ready Score. See Custom Policies for the full list of rules and what each one checks.
For each rule you can:
- Enable or disable it.
- Adjust its threshold (where applicable — e.g. minimum word count, max stale days).
- Set its weight — how much this rule contributes to the final score relative to other rules.
Personal vs admin settings
Section titled “Personal vs admin settings”Pulse has very few user-level preferences today. Most controls are admin-level because they affect everyone’s scores. If we add per-user settings in the future, they’ll appear in a separate Preferences section.
What’s stored where
Section titled “What’s stored where”Custom policy configuration is stored inside your Atlassian tenant. Nothing is sent to external services. See security for the data-flow details.
What’s not yet configurable
Section titled “What’s not yet configurable”These are likely future additions:
- Per-space policy overrides — today, the same rule set applies everywhere.
- Quiet zones — excluding specific spaces or labels from scanning.
- Email notifications — a digest of low-scoring pages would be a useful weekly reminder; not built yet.
If any of these block you, tell us at support@bytera.tech.
- Custom Policies — the rules you’re tuning here.
- Troubleshooting & FAQ — common questions about behavior.
