Editions — Standard & Advanced
Pulse is sold on the Atlassian Marketplace in two editions: Standard and Advanced. Standard is the complete content-health product — scoring, policies, dashboards, broken links, duplicate detection. Advanced adds AI-powered semantic detection on top.

What Advanced adds
Section titled “What Advanced adds”The single Advanced feature is AI semantic duplicate detection — powered by Atlassian Forge AI, it spots pages with similar content even when they’re worded completely differently (“Onboarding” vs “Getting Started for New Hires”).
The gate is enforced in Pulse’s backend: on Standard, the AI is never invoked. Everything else behaves identically across editions.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”Both editions are priced per user, per month, billed through Atlassian. Advanced is priced at 1.5× Standard. For the current per-user tiers, see the Pulse listing on the Atlassian Marketplace.
Choosing and switching editions
Section titled “Choosing and switching editions”- You pick the edition when subscribing on the Marketplace, and can switch at any time from your site’s subscription management (Atlassian admin → Billing) — no reinstall, no data loss.
- Upgrading to Advanced activates the AI features immediately; downgrading to Standard simply turns them off. All your scores, policies, trends, and settings stay intact either way.
Does Standard feel limited? No — Standard is the full product as it shipped before editions existed. AI semantic duplicate detection is the only edition-gated capability.
Why is the AI feature paid? AI processing has real platform costs. Tying it to Advanced keeps Standard pricing low for everyone who doesn’t need it.
Is my content sent to a third-party AI provider? No. AI processing runs on Atlassian Forge AI, inside Atlassian’s platform. See Duplicate Detection → Privacy.
